Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park has announced an October program combining restoration volunteering, artist activities, Hawaiian history performances, and family events. The September 15 release provides dates and locations for activities at the Kīlauea summit and Kahuku.
Remaining scheduled activities include an October 17 presentation by returning artist in residence Dawn Waters Baker, history performances that day, and restoration volunteering on October 17 and 24. The park also lists scavenger hunts for October 31 and ranger-guided programs on many days.
The park says its events are free, although entrance fees may apply, and warns that programs can change or be canceled. Visitors should check the current park calendar, conditions, and access information before traveling. The full release includes meeting points, preparation guidance for volunteers, and details for individual programs.
